The Regional Employment/Training Partnerships Program was created to promote joint training initiatives that meets a similar area wide training and employment need. To promote partnership with a private sector employer/ industry. Partnership projects are done through a “Call for Applications” basis. Refer to Call for Applications Package for detailed information requirements.  Eligible participants must be Treaty #3 members who are employed, at least 17 years of age and have been out of school for a minimum of one year.

Projects can be all on the job or all classroom training or a combination of both.  Projects can be a minimum of 12 weeks and up to a maximum of 35 weeks.  Depending on type of training methodology, financial guidelines fall under existing Shooniyaa Wa-Biitong programs. The private sector partnership is expected to contribute financially, and trainees can receive, depending on training methodology, either training wages or allowances.
