Objective: To prepare individual Youth for employment by providing skills training that leads to employer/industry recognized certification or licenses.
Eligible Participants:
- Unemployed Youth up to age 29 that has been assessed by a Shooniyaa Wa-Biitoong Program Officer and have developed an employment action plan.
Application Guidelines:
- Training is primarily short term in nature – i.e. 3 days or less. Other types of pre-employment preparation training are considered on a case by case basis and subject to funding availability.
Deadline: February 24, 2012 or until budget is expended, whichever comes first.
