Objective: To promote and recognize the importance of completing high school and encourage students to work towards higher educational attainment towards their career of interest.
To apply for a bursary, eligible student applicants will submit a brief biography of themselves and their career interests using the form provided. They must also include how their current studies contribute towards their career goal and how they plan to pursue their career goal in the future. 15 bursaries are available at $300 each. In addition, bursary applicants are eligible to enter our speech contest for which the grand prize for the best speech is $300.
Speech entries are to be aimed at sending a positive message to Youth by providing a brief biography as to how you are currently working towards your career aspirations. Speech entries must include how your current studies are contributing towards your career goal and how you plan to pursue your career goal in the future. In addition, special consideration will be given to those who include how the 7 Sacred Grandfather Teachings have helped guide you towards your career goal. Two prizes of $300 each will be granted for the best speech entry. One in the Grade 9 and 10 category and another in the Grade 11 and 12 category.
